Breast Cancer Care: Moving Forward

Frontline Consultants recently completed the economic evaluation of the Moving Forward, Breast Cancer Care’s national flagship support programme for people affected by breast cancer.

The evaluation used a range of methodologies, including validated Quality of Life metrics (EQ-5D) and patient activation measures to capture and quantify the impact the programme has on people affected by breast cancer once their treatment has finished. It also made several recommendations to support the future development and improvement of the programme.

The report has been published and received a parliamentary launch in Westminster by Thangam Debbonaire (MP) and co-chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Breast Cancer. Formal parliamentary launches were also held in Holyrood and the National Assembly for Wales. The evidence will be used by Breast Cancer Care to campaign to ensure that more breast cancer survivors are provided with access to the programme.
